The Lyde Green Community Association (LGCA) is run by local volunteers, with the objective of generating community spirit and making Lyde Green a great place to live and visit. As well as organising community events, we work with local partners, including the consortium of developers and local council, to influence issues that matter to Lyde Green residents.
We have also recently been appointed by South Gloucestershire Council as the operator for the Lyde Green Community Centre, which is due to open its doors in early 2018. In April 2017 LGCA became a registered charity (Registered Charity number 1172725), which provides a solid foundation for us to further develop our positive contribution to Lyde Green.
The success of all our activity is dependent upon the time and efforts of our volunteers. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from becoming a Trustee, helping us to share community news, fundraising or helping with events. There are opportunities to get involved no matter how much or little time you have to spare and whether you can bring relevant expertise or are looking to develop new skills. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
