Contract: Permanent

Hours: 21 hours per week (core hours plus some flexibility for evening and weekend work to suit community need)

Location: Lyde Green Community Centre, Thistle Close, Emersons Green, Bristol BS16 7GW

Salary range: £23,000 (pro rata), plus pension

Annual leave: 33 days per annum (pro-rata) inc. bank holidays

 

We are looking for a motivated and experienced community connector to help the development of a sustainable and cohesive community in Lyde Green.  

 

You will be at the heart of connecting people within the community to both each other and local support services. You will be encouraging local community groups to develop and grow, offering advice and support where required. 

 

You will be empathic and excellent at listening. You will be able to communicate with a wide range of different stakeholders and build strong relationships.  You should have some community development experience. 

 

You will be able to work closely with residents, the LGCA team and partners to develop, coordinate and run local activities that builds on local assets and create a community plan.  You will also be responsible for setting up and managing volunteer induction and team structures that allow volunteers to develop and feel supported.
