About LGCA

The Lyde Green Community Association (LGCA) is run by local volunteers.

With the objective of generating community spirit and making Lyde Green a great place to live and visit. As well as organising community events, we work with local partners, including the consortium of developers and local council, to influence issues that matter to Lyde Green residents.

We are currently leading a COVID-19 community response across Lyde Green and trying to help the community in a number of ways.

We run the Lyde Green Community Centre, which opened its doors in September 2018. Whilst the doors may be closed, we are supporting the community and small businesses by offering a virtual community centre timetable. Click “Visit the Community Centre” in the Menu to find out more!

In April 2017 LGCA became a registered charity (Registered Charity number 1172725), which provides a solid foundation for us to further develop our positive contribution to Lyde Green.

The success of all our activity is dependent upon the time and efforts of our volunteers. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from becoming a volunteer supporting community outreach, a Trustee, or helping with a variety of events. No matter how much or little time you have and whether you can bring relevant expertise or are looking to develop new skills, everyone is welcome. As a bonus, it’s a great way to meet new people within the community.  If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact us at info@lydegreenca.org.
