I’m writing this on my first day in post as Community Development and Centre Manager for Lyde Green Community Association, and it’s a very exciting time. It’s clear to me that a lot of time and hard work has gone into getting ready for the Centre to open. It’s also clear from the events I managed to attend before starting in post that there is a lot of enthusiasm in the Lyde Green community to making great things happen. For a long time now, I’ve been supporting people and groups to make their aspirations a reality, and have enjoyed managing several resource and community centres so that they become spaces to help people connect and create an even better place to live.
With that in mind, if you’d like to talk through an idea you’ve had, or something you’d like to see happening, then let me know. I’m here to help you make things happen; your talents, skills and aspirations are key to the future of your Community Centre. I’m looking forward to discovering what the Lyde Green community wants, and being a part of making it happen. I’m certain there’s exciting times ahead!
So if you have any thoughts, questions or ideas, or just want to say “hello!” let me know and drop me a line on firstname.lastname@example.org.
